Right for

When aluminiumscaffold is the call.

  • Two-storey extensions, new builds, repaints
  • Render and external repair work
  • Painters, roofers, renderers needing platform access
  • Sloping coastal blocks, narrow side passages
  • Heritage facades where Kwikstage would mark the substrate

Not the call

When it's notthe right tool.

  • Single tradie needing 2 hours on a one-off — a hire-shop tower might be enough
  • Reaching internal ceiling work — an EWP often suits better
  • Long-duration commercial scaff — outside our run

FAQ

Plain-English answersto the obvious questions.

Is aluminium scaffold safe for two-storey work?

Yes. AS/NZS 1576-rated aluminium scaffold is engineered for residential and light-trade use up to the working heights we operate (typically up to 9m). It carries the right load class for trades to work off, and assembles tighter than steel Kwikstage — better for tight peninsula sites.

How long does setup take?

Most residential extensions: half a day for a 2–3-person crew. Mobile towers: <30 minutes. We'll give you the timing on the quote.

Do I need a permit?

Only if scaffold extends over a footpath, road, or council land. We'll flag it on the quote. Permit pass-through is shown as a separate line — typically around $350 depending on your council.

What's the hire window?

1-week minimum. Most extensions need 2–4 weeks. Long hires (a month plus) need a quick site visit — too variable for a flat rate.
